Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a progressive cavity pump and other pump types?+
A progressive cavity pump uses a rotating rotor inside a flexible stator to create sealed cavities that move fluid continuously u2014 giving pulse-free, self-priming flow. Unlike centrifugal pumps, it handles high-viscosity fluids, shear-sensitive materials, and fluids with entrained solids or fibers. Unlike piston/diaphragm pumps, it produces constant flow at varying pressure without pulsation.
Which industries use SINOR progressive cavity pumps?+
SINOR pumps serve 9 major industries: wastewater treatment, chemical processing, food & beverage, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, paper & pulp, mining, 3C electronics, and new energy (EV battery / solar). Each application page above explains the specific scenarios, challenges, and recommended pump series for that industry.
How do I know which pump series fits my application?+
Start with your fluid: viscosity, solid content, temperature, and chemical compatibility. For general transfer: SGP Series. For food-grade sanitary: SFP Series. For high-viscosity or fibrous materials: SSP / STP hopper pumps. For metering & dosing: SMP Series. For precision dispensing (adhesives, thermal grease): SSV / SDJ Series.
Can SINOR pumps handle abrasive or corrosive media?+
Yes. Choose chrome-plated or tungsten carbide coated rotors and HNBR stators for abrasive slurries; Duplex 2205 rotors and FKM stators for corrosive chemicals. All stator materials (NBR, EPDM, FKM, HNBR) are available to match your media compatibility requirements.
Do you provide application-specific engineering support?+
Yes. Our engineers provide free application consultation u2014 including pump selection, material compatibility, and system design. Send us your fluid characteristics and operating conditions through the contact form or WhatsApp, and we will recommend the right pump within 24 hours.
