Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our progressive cavity pump product range.

What is the difference between a progressive cavity pump and a centrifugal pump?
A progressive cavity pump uses a rotating rotor inside a fixed stator to create sealed cavities that move fluid axially — providing pulse-free flow. Unlike centrifugal pumps, PC pumps handle high-viscosity fluids, shear-sensitive materials, and fluids with entrained solids. They are self-priming and maintain consistent flow regardless of pressure changes.
How do I select the right pump series for my application?
Key factors: fluid viscosity, solid content, required flow rate and pressure, temperature, and material compatibility. For general-purpose transfer: SGP Series. For food-grade sanitary: SFP Series. For high-viscosity with solids: SSP or STP. For metering and dosing: SMP Series. For precision dispensing: SSV or SDJ Series. Contact our team for free selection assistance.
What stator materials are available, and how do I choose?
We offer NBR (standard for oils and fuels), EPDM (excellent for water and chemicals), FKM/Viton (high-temperature resistance up to 200°C), and HNBR (extreme wear resistance for abrasive media). Choose based on the chemical composition, temperature, and abrasiveness of your fluid.
Do you offer OEM / custom manufacturing services?
Yes. We provide full OEM/ODM services including custom stator geometries, special rotor coatings (tungsten carbide, ceramic, chrome), non-standard flange configurations, Hastelloy/duplex/titanium construction, and reverse engineering from samples or drawings.
What is the typical lead time for standard pump models?
Standard production takes 15–25 working days. Rush orders can be expedited to 10–12 working days. Shipping time depends on destination. We stock common spare parts (stators, rotors, mechanical seals) for faster delivery on replacement components.
